I graduated in 2010 from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Elementary Education K-6 (Highly Qualified).

I have worked for five years as a teacher to children with Autism and children with other behavioral difficulties. Before teaching for the ABLE Unit at Mobile County I worked for The Learning Tree-Woody's Song School as a teacher and at The Little Tree Preschool as a Teacher's Assistant.

I was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. I graduated from the University of South Alabama. Go Jags! In 2012 I married my wonderful husband, Justin. We have a spunky little girl, Ann Claire, who was born in 2014.

I am so excited to be the 4th and 5th grade teacher for the ABLE unit this year. A few things I want each child to know when they walk in my classroom is that they are safe, they are loved, they are special, they are SMART, they are important, and they are the reason I am here. In the 4th and 5th grade classroom at the ABLE unit we will be working on getting prepared for middle school life. I want the students to be prepared with the skills to help them succeed as they further their education. We will work on academic skills, social skills, adaptive living skills, and communication skills. Our goal is to stabilize and decrease difficulty behaviors while keeping a structured schedule and of course having fun along the way. :) One of my favorite quotes is "Do what you love and love what you do!"
